PS – It’s fine to tell your kids that it’s chicken, if that convinces them to eat it. Works like a charm with my two-year-old!
Tips For Making Ranch Pork Chops
- You can put the pork chops under the broiler for a few minutes to get a nice char and crispy topping
- Feel free to add fresh herbs in at the end such as parsley, it gives it a nice freshness and extra flavor
- This meal is delicious with a side salad
- Cooking for Only Two? I purchase these thick-cut pork chops in packages of two at the grocery store, so this is a very easy recipe to just cut in half. Save the other half of the ranch seasoning mix for the next time!

It looks like there’s cheese on top of the chops. What am I seeing if it’s not cheese?
Hey, Leah! No, I didn’t use cheese on the pork chops, although a sprinkling of Parmesan on top would be a great idea!
The top of the pork chops get crispy and browned like that under the broiler thanks to the butter and seasoning mixture that’s basted on top. ๐
My mouth is watering as I make this meal!! We are on the process of moving, so I had very few ingredients with the things we brought along to the new place. It smells soooo good in the oven and has all the stuff we as a family enjoy to eat! Thank you! Canโt wait to DIG IN!!
Yay! Congrats on the move, Lorisa! I’m so glad to hear that this meal is one of the first that you’ll enjoy in your new home. Hope it tasted as good as it smelled! ๐
Hello, just found this recipe and excited to try it. However, I don’t eat pork. I’m the only person in my family that doesn’t so do you think it would be the same if I did everything the same and added one chicken breast to the sheet with the pork chops on it? Should I cook the chicken longer?
Hi, Alexandra! That should work fine! I have other sheet pan dinners that call for chicken breasts, and I typically bake them at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes and then finish under the broiler. Total cooking time will obviously depend on the size and thickness of your meat (you want chicken to reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F), but I would suggest adding the chicken to the sheet pan about 5-10 minutes before you add the pork. Hope that helps, and enjoy!
Would this work for chicken as weโll? And would it bake for the same amount of time? Thank you!
Hi, Nikki! Yes, I think it would work. I would cook everything in a 425 degree F oven if you’re using chicken. Boneless skinless breasts will need about 20-25 minutes at 425, while bone-in skin-on thighs will need about 30 minutes and bone-in skin-on breasts will need about 45-50 minutes. Enjoy!
This recipe is great and so easy! I added some fresh dill and a shallot. Thanks!
Thank you, Kim!
Making this tonight but I only have boneless pork chops. Do i need to cook them for less time or temp?
Hi Shannon,
You’ll likely need to reduce the cooking time as boneless pork chops tend to cook faster. We hope you enjoy!
