This recipe for 3-Ingredient Crispy Seasoned Red Potatoes is one of those easy side dishes that you’ll turn to over and over again to complete your meal. With just 10 minutes of prep, the zesty potatoes are roasted in the oven for a charred exterior and a tender, buttery inside!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of OLD BAY. All opinions are 100% mine.
Side dishes can be such a tricky part of the meal. In all honesty, we have a few favorites around here that we repeatedly make — and they are all incredibly easy. Since I’m already focused on the main course, a side of vegetables or grains is often an afterthought!

If I’m not steaming a bag of broccoli or corn in the microwave, then I’m probably roasting some seasoned red potatoes in the oven. They’re a simple, nourishing, family-friendly option that doesn’t require much fuss!
Since I serve these red potatoes so often, I’ve definitely perfected my favorite recipe. The best news of all? It only requires 3 ingredients!

How To Make Crispy Seasoned Red Potatoes
You’ll start by chopping the red potatoes into halves (for very small potatoes) or quarters (for larger potatoes).
Then comes the good part! My mother-in-law is a Maryland native, so she has raised sons (and grandsons) who love anything and everything that’s seasoned with OLD BAY! The versatile zesty and bold blend of 18 herbs and spices just cannot be duplicated.

OLD BAY is the original seafood seasoning preferred by Mid-Atlantic locals for over 75 years, and my boys use it to enhance a variety of our favorite dishes. It brings out the best in seafood, as well as French fries, scrambled eggs, corn on the cob, and of course — red potatoes!

In this particular recipe, you’ll whisk the OLD BAY into olive oil, and then shake the potatoes with the olive oil and seasoning in a large bag until they’re completely coated.

Dump the potatoes onto a rimmed baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 30-40 minutes. That’s it!!!

So easy, right?! Just like the OLD BAY seasoning, these potatoes are incredibly versatile and pair nicely with almost any entree. We have enjoyed them with hamburgers and hotdogs for a Labor Day cookout, with grilled salmon and shrimp, and with roasted chicken. They would be wonderful breakfast potatoes served with an omelet, too!

Perfect. Sounds delicious!
#IdOLDBAYThat #SWEEPSTAKES. I’ve never used Old Bay on anything other than seafood but this recipe has started me thinking about what else I can use it in that I cook such as sliced and baked potatoes, baked boneless, skinless chicken breasts and even pork roasts in the crock pot. Thanks for expanding my recipes!
Yes, those are all great ideas, Deb! 🙂
Well, aren’t “I” lucky! I “just” bought a can of this, this week. I’d use it on #IdOLDBAYThat and #Sweepstakes air fryer chicken thighs. The online recipe called for seasoning the flour with Old Bay. WooHoo!
Perfect timing!!!! Those chicken thighs sound amazing, too!
I love Old Bay Seasoning too! This is a delicious way to roast potatoes, and will be making this for my family.

I like to add it to add Old Bay Seasoning to my egg salad, chicken salad or tuna salad. Gives it a burst of flavor and we love it. I also put it in my deviled eggs. Just an all around good seasoning, at least in our house.
Oooooh! Egg salad is a great idea, Judy!
Thirst potatoes sound delicious. I like to use old bay in my low country boil and also I season fried peanuts with it too! Yum! #IdOldBayThat #Sweepstakes
Oh my gosh…the perfect Southern feast, Kesha!
I will definitely be making this recipe. I decided to check your blog post while eating my lunch (which was a shrimp salad sandwich with a can of Old Bay sitting beside my plate) and lo and behold, your post included the best seasoning of all time! Love me some Old Bay. Old Bay is always a staple in kitchens in southern Maryland
That’s so funny, Karen! My mother in law is from Southern Maryland, and it’s definitely a staple in her kitchen, too. Love it!
I love Old Bay so much. I would probably have to buy crabs which are in season at my Shop Rite right now if I happened to win! Yum! #IdOldBayThat #Sweepstakes
Crabs are so great, Brittany!
I like it on mashed potatoes!

I’d use Old Bay seasoning for a fish fry. We do a lot of fishing and I have a great recipe for the coating! #IdOldBayThat and #Sweepstakes
Hi, Joan! That sounds wonderful! Can’t beat a fish fry!
I grew up in Maryland, so I’m used to putting Old Bay on everything! I love using Old Bay to dress up Bloody Mary drinks and also sprinkled on popcorn! #IdOLDBAYThat #Sweepstakes
Love that, Natalie! 🙂

Not weird at all, Steph! Delicious!
I have to confess, never heard of Old Bay, but I’m in backwoods Idaho. I’d sure start with the red potatoes.
