Earlier this week we were invited to a very special occasion: a Christmas breakfast in our PJs! This is a fun tradition that my friend Kristin and her mom have had going for a few years now. Each December, Janet invites her grandchildren over for a morning of Christmas fun in their pajamas. And while we’re not technically family, my mom, my kids, and I were lucky enough to be included in this year’s festivities.

The Grandmothers

A former school teacher, Miss Janet has thought of everything! Gibbs and his dear friend Charlie had fun dancing to Christmas music while Ella and Casey looked on.

We ate a delicious brunch complete with mimosas, waffles, fruit, coffee cake, and an egg and sausage casserole.

The kids had their own table (including Nutcracker place cards and Christmas sippy cups),

and where they decorated their reindeer antlers.

Miss Janet had the children captivated as she read them a Christmas story

and all of the kids played some music for us.

It was truly the perfect way to spend a morning during this hectic time of year. We celebrated with our close friends and family, and enjoyed all that the season has to offer.
