One of the greatest parts of this blogging “job” is when I have the honor of partnering with some of my favorite brands. Thanks so much to Wasa for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all opinions and ideas are 100% my own!
Get your New Year headed in the right direction by stocking your pantry with delicious and nutritious foods that you can reach for when hunger calls. With a few pantry (or refrigerator) staples, I have created 5 Healthy 1-Minute Snacks that you can throw together on even your busiest days. Packed with protein, fiber, and FLAVOR, these simple, tasty combinations will satisfy any craving and will keep you going strong!
No matter what your goals or resolutions may be in the coming year, properly fueling your body will give you the energy and brainpower to help you accomplish anything that you set your mind to. In my efforts to lead a healthy lifestyle and to feed myself and my family a variety of nutrient-rich foods, I have come across a few products that are so tasty and so good for us that they become staples in my pantry. Baked with wholegrain and packed with protein and fiber, Wasa crispbread is definitely one of those wholesome snacking options that has earned a regular spot on my grocery list!
Wasa has been the biggest crispbread baker in the world since 1919, selling its products from its bakeries in Sweden and Germany to 40 different countries around the world. Since the Swedes like to lead a wholesome, natural lifestyle, Wasa presents “Appetite for Life” Staying Fit the Swedish Way. Definitely check out this comedic, light-hearted video, which follows an adventurous American woman on her travels and experiences through Swedish culture while learning about Wasa crispbreads. It’s a fun way to add a chuckle to your day (and to get an extra dose of healthy living inspiration!).
I love the crunchy texture of the crispbread, which is kind of like a really giant cracker. There are a variety of flavors available, including Light Rye, Multigrain, Flax Seed, and Sourdough, providing families like ours with an easy, all natural, healthy alternative to traditional bread and crackers. They’re easy to store, carry, and eat on-the-go, but best of all (in my opinion) is their versatility! A plain Wasa crispbread is tasty when paired with soup or a salad, but I also like to top them with simple combinations of delicious ingredients to keep my energy levels high and my body properly nourished. These 5 Healthy 1-Minute Snacks are great options, but if you enjoy a few of them at a time, they also make for a delicious, easy lunch!
Here are a few of my favorite combos, but these are just a start! Get creative and have fun…the options are really endless…
Hummus, Cucumber, and Turkey on Wasa Crispbread
Guacamole, Hardboiled Egg, and Salsa on Wasa Crispbread
Almond Butter (or other nut butter of your choice), Banana, and Honey on Wasa Crispbread
Apple Butter, Sharp White Cheddar Cheese, and a Dash of Nutmeg on Wasa Crispbread
Cottage Cheese, Sliced Apple, and a dash of Cinnamon on Wasa Crispbread
Is your mouth watering yet?! Be sure to check out that fun video that I shared earlier in the post, have a laugh, and then scurry off to the store and pick up a few boxes of these crispbreads so that your pantry is perfectly stocked for healthy snacking, too!
