I’ve neglected to include two very important members of our family on this blog…Molly and Chet. With the birth of each child, the dogs have dropped another notch on the Family Totem Pole. Nevertheless, Molly-the-Saint continues to be a sweet, patient, and loving companion. It’s high time she was pampered!

Molly 1

After eating her dinner outside in the 30 degree temperatures, Molly came into the house shivering. Mind you, Boston Terriers have no body fat and no fur to speak of. Not exactly equipped to survive in the elements.

Since he saw that she was cold, Gibbs invited Molly onto the couch with him and went to get some blankets to cover her (this is about the time that I went to grab my camera, as I figured something interesting was about to happen).

Molly 2

Although she seemed content, Gibbs thought that she might be even more comfortable if she had “a little something to cuddle with.” He proceeded to rummage through his prized possessions until he found the perfect things: a tractor and a large Hess truck. What, that’s not what you would like to cuddle with?

like camera

I believe that at this exact moment, Gibbs is asking Molly “do you like cameras?”

And while Molly appears incredibly annoyed in these pictures, don’t be fooled. She is  thrilled with the attention and she could not be more in love with these two boys. Every time they put their faces near hers, she kisses them.

say cheese

And at this point Gibbs is instructing Molly to “say cheese.”

Given the harassment that Molly tolerates on a daily basis, I believe that she truly is a Saint. I’m just sorry that I don’t have a picture of Casey sitting on her back, swinging his arm with an invisible lasso, and yelling, “Yee Haw.” I’ll save that one for another day.
