Hi, friends! Welcome to another Weekend Recap…where I dump a week’s worth of pictures from my phone and share a little bit about what we’ve been doing. Are you ready? Here we go!

Monday morning started with plenty of rain, plus a field trip with Casey’s preschool to the Graves Mountain Farm apple orchard. Fortunately, the rain stopped just as we arrived!

The kids sorted seeds,

and then went on a hay ride into the orchard where we picked plenty of (delicious) apples!

My friend Gabrielle sent me this photo in the afternoon. I obviously didn’t even know she was taking it!

An afternoon walk with Spence,

And soccer practice in the evening for Gibbs.

Cheerleaders?!

On Tuesday we ran errands at Target (where else?),

and I finally got myself one of Starbucks’s new Toasted Graham Lattes. It was good, but I honestly didn’t think that it tasted much different from the vanilla latte with a little bit of cinnamon on top.

And of course, a post-lunch fro-yo stop at Sweet Frog!

Wednesday was “Disney” day at Gibbs’s school, but since he doesn’t own any Disney attire…he went dressed as a Star Wars Storm Trooper. His teacher assured me this was okay (minus the mask)!

While Casey was at school for the morning, Spence and I took my car to the dealer for an oil change. We killed time by walking around the parking lot to check out the trucks,

taking selfies,

and playing with toys.

We made a short stop at the mall after picking Casey up at lunchtime, where the merry-go-round is always a hit!

And our afternoon walk was VERY exciting when we bumped into a construction crew.

On Thursday the first of the rain storms started to roll in, so it was cool, gray, and wet all day. While Gibbs was at school, Casey, Spencer, and I went to Costco for our weekly lunch and shopping trip. Otherwise it was a very quiet day. Casey’s soccer practice was cancelled because of the rain that evening, and it didn’t stop!

It poured rain all day Friday as well, so Spence and I had a quiet morning at home while Casey and Gibbs were at school.

After dinner Keith (and his 3 assistants) even made the first fire of the year in one of our wood stoves to take the chill off.

In spite of the rain, we headed out early yesterday morning for a road trip!

IMG_6625

My brother and his family were visiting my parents from Florida, so we headed up north to spend the day with them. The 6 cousins have so much fun together (and so do the grown-ups)!

A big family dinner at the local Italian restaurant,

and sad goodbyes!

This morning it’s STILL raining, so we’re heading out to the grocery store and Target (should be interesting with all of the kids in tow). There’s an open house at our local Fire Station this afternoon, so that’s on our agenda for later today. Have a great week!
