Weekends are the perfect time to slow down, enjoy some family time, and savor a simpleย meal together. Warm, buttery, and grilled on thick slices of cinnamon swirl bread, our version of The Weekend Peanut Butter &ย Jelly Sandwich is just a little bit more special than the average weekday fare!

Hi, friends! As you may recall, I’ve been sharing some PB&J love over the past few months! You can check out my back-to-school breakfast (Peanut Butter & Jelly Baked Pancakes)ย here, or see our Fall Picnic PB&J here. Today, however, I’m focusing onย a typical weekend meal or snack: the GRILLED PB&J!

When creating the perfect sandwich for my family, I always use Smucker’s Fruit Spreads. I know that I can count on their authentic tastes and variety, so there’s a favorite combination for every member of the family. The Natural Strawberry Fruit Spread shown here is definitely one of the best!

While the boys often enjoy PB&J sandwiches for lunch at school or for snack at home during the week, they never have the opportunity to slow down and have a hot meal.

In order to make ourย go-to sandwich a little bit more special on the days when we’re all at home together, I spread the peanut butter and jelly on thick slices of cinnamon swirl bread, butter each side of the sandwich, and toast it on a hot griddle until the outside is crisp and golden. It adds a few extra minutes to the prep time, but it’s SOOO worth the effort!

Just look at the ooey, gooey, melty peanut butter that swirls together with the fruit spread!

A warm and cozy sandwich and some extra time together as a family is exactly how I want to spend #MyPBJMoment!
