Hi, hi! How are those New Year’s resolutions treating you? Despite our best intentions, it can be SO HARD to muster the energy and motivation to get to the gym during a long, busy week. That’s why I love to have a few routines like this one on hand to get the job done quickly!
I actually did this circuit workout in my living room one morning recently (on the fly, because I didn’t have time to get to the gym before the kids woke up), and I found it to be surprisingly effective. In just a few minutes I was sweaty and my muscles felt fatigued. Mission accomplished, so I figured that I should probably share it with all of you!

TIME-SAVING TOTAL BODY STRENGTH WORKOUT

Directions:
Perform one set of each exercise. Repeat circuit twice (or add a third circuit for a really tough workout)! Not sure how to perform the exercises? Just click on the title of each exercise for a video demonstration. As always, be sure to check with a doctor before beginning any exercise routine! Be safe!
- Squat + Overhead Press: 10-12 reps
- Curtsy Lunge + Bicep Curl: 10-12 reps PER LEG
- Deadlift + Reverse Fly: 10-12 reps
- Forearm Plank: 30 seconds (or longer, if you can hold it!)
REPEAT CIRCUIT one more time (or two more times) before cooling down with some gentle stretching.
