Alright, we’re getting desperate around here. No matter how much we talk about, plan for, and get excited about Spring, it just keeps SNOWING. This is Virginia, and it’s high time we have some green leaves on the trees and some more flowers popping out of the ground. Instead, we’re cooped up inside and this mom is stretching for ways to entertain two young boys.
So, after playing in the snow, a trip to Wal-Mart, lunch, more snow, coloring, and playing a game, the boys were getting bored. Again. That’s when I pulled out my roll of painter’s tape and built Masking Tape Roads all over the downstairs of our house.
I connected the roads together, Gibbs set up some plastic road signs and stop lights, and the cars got moving. The tape is the perfect width for Matchbox cars, which made the perfectionist in Gibbs very happy.
This entertained the two kids long enough for me to fold some laundry and accomplish a couple of other tasks. That’s well worth the price of a roll of tape, in my opinion.
Any other good suggestions for rainy day (or snowy day) indoor activities? Again, I’m getting desperate…
