Do you need a simple and easy way to add some fun to your family’s routine? Check out our recent PB&J Party for a quick way to bring instant smiles to everyone’s day!

You guys…how’s the January slump treating you?! For many of us, it’s the hardest time of year — the weather is cold and gray, there aren’t necessarily a lot of fun events to look forward to, and we’re all feeling a little bit…cooped up. That’s why I thought that you might like a quick peek at a simple way to shake things up a little bit in your own home, because really…don’t we all LOVE a party?ย Best of all, you don’t even need a special occasion to celebrate!
Just before Christmas, my friends at Smucker’s sent me a really great care package full of all of the necessary supplies for hosting a PB&J Party. I was so excited to dive into this box, but I carefully set it aside for about a week, since I knew that it would come in very handy later on!
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, our life was jam-packed with birthday celebrations, Thanksgiving, holiday parties, school performances, and plenty of other festive excitement. But then, in a matter of one day, Christmas was done and my boys were looking around the house wondering…what’s next?!
To head off the inevitable post-holiday blues, I thought that it would be fun to surprise the family with a special party of our own. What better way to distract three perpetually-hungry little boys from the passing holidays than a PB&J party?! Followed up by a special trip to the movies to see the new episode of Star Wars, this was almost as good as any Christmas gift that they received!
I hung the festive party banner,
grabbed some signs for our “photo booth,”
and pulled out the ingredients necessary to craft the perfect little PB&J sliders!
I had these dinner rolls leftover from our Christmas lunch, so they servedย as the bread component of our PB&J’s. The rest is probably obvious at this point: it’s always Jif peanut butter around here, as well as Smucker’s fruit spreads.
My new personal favorite is this Triple Berry flavored Smucker’s Fruit & Honeyย fruit spread. It tastes like a homemade jam, and it should — it’s ripened fruit that’s naturally sweetened withย honey!
I love that I can always count on Smucker’s as my go-to because there are a variety of flavors toย please everyone and the spreads always taste authentic.
And for me, it’s ALL ABOUT the Crunchy Jif,
while my boys prefer their PB smooth!
We served some cold milk to wash down our sandwiches,
and some jam thumbprint cookies for dessert.ย Even thoughย Christmas was over it didn’t mean that the cookie consumption had to stop!
With full bellies and big smiles, the older boys headed off to the theater with Dad for the bigย showing of their favorite movie!
And I could sit back, take a deep breath, and relish (briefly) in aย wonderful holiday season, a happy family, and another blessed year.
And then I was off to clean-up the house and put away decorations while my little guy napped! Our party was fun, andย I loved #MyPBJMoment…but now back to reality!
I hope that you’ll take some time toย turn your quiet, unscheduled moments intoย a celebration that your family will always remember — a PB&J Party! It’s a perfectly simple, no-stress way to make memories with your little ones and add some fun back into an otherwise typical day!
And now…for the giveaway!! Smucker’s is going to send one of my lucky readers a package full of goodies! Just leave a comment below (about anything!) and you’ll automatically be entered to win! I’ll pick a winner at random on Wednesday, January 20. Good luck!

That is so cute and fun. I have never seen taht jam taht is made with honey. Now, THAT I must buy immediately. My husband eats PB&J almost every day, for breakfast – true story!
I like your idea of making ordinary moments a celebration.
There are some awesome pics here! I am team crunchy too! hehe
