Who knew that a roadside ditch could be so much fun?

Before dinner one afternoon last week, the boys wanted to go outside to pull their wagon up the road. We made it as far as the farm outside our gate, where they just had to get out and inspect the cattle guard. Once out of the wagon, the kids spied a ditch. The temptation was too much, and before I knew it, they were diving, rolling, sliding and jumping.
The fun just continued when another little boy joined them. I won’t even tell you how long they stayed and played in this one spot. And the giggles and laughter were contagious.
Pure joy and endless entertainment…all from the roadside ditch.
