Meet Blair Lonergan

A born-and-raised Virginian, I’m a wife, mother of three, and busy home cook who shows love with food and enjoys feeding my friends and family with the comforting dishes that I grew up on.

After bringing home my third baby boy in less than four years, my world felt as though it had been turned upside down. I was an Ivy-league educated attorney, but I was overwhelmed by the responsibilities in front of me and unsure of how to manage my new home life.

With piles of laundry to fold, fussy babies to comfort, and a job to perform, just getting dinner on the table each night seemed like an insurmountable task. The stress of trying to live up to my own high expectations as both a parent and a professional left me exhausted and overwhelmed.

I needed to simplify my life and bring order to our chaos — starting with mealtime. I returned to the nourishing, family-friendly dinners that I was raised on, creating updated versions of classic farmhouse favorites. These quick-prep meal solutions accommodate our busy lifestyle, serve as an anchor in our day, and bring our family together around the table!

About The Seasoned Mom

Today, I am tremendously grateful to call this blog my full-time job. I left my legal career behind and now spend my days testing new recipes, photographing our favorite meals, and sharing them here for all of you to enjoy. What could be better?!

Over a million people visit The Seasoned Mom every month and make my recipes every day! My work has been featured in print publications like Taste of Home and Parade magazines, on many popular websites like BuzzFeed and Today.com, and I have served as a freelance recipe developer and food photographer for brands such as Red Gold Tomatoes and Old El Paso. This small business is an incredible honor and responsibility that I take very seriously. Thank you for being here!

I have found your website SO helpful with meal planning. Every week, at least one of our meals (if not 2 or 3 or 4….) come from your website. Thank you for all of your hard work!

So many of your recipes are on regular rotation in our house. My kids get excited if I say I’m cooking a new recipe from your blog. Your hard work is appreciated! Thanks again.
