1(1 ounce)packet dry ranch seasoning mix(I use Hidden Valley brand)
½cupgrated sharp cheddar cheese
Optional garnish: sliced green onions
For serving: fresh vegetables; crackers; chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch (or 11 x 8-inch) baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl, use an electric hand mixer to beat together the cream cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch seasoning until smooth.
Stir in the chicken.
Transfer the chicken and cream cheese mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top.
Bake, uncovered, for about 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and the cheese melts on top. Garnish with sliced green onions if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Crock Pot Method: Stir together the chicken, cream cheese, wing sauce, and ranch seasoning in a Crock Pot. Cover and cook on low for about 1 hour, or until hot and bubbly. Give it a good stir until everything is nicely combined. Top with the shredded cheese and let it melt before serving. For crispier melted cheese on top, place the dish under the broiler for the final 1-2 minutes.
