A classic club sandwich recipe that you can easily make at home!

Ingredients

  • 3 slices white sandwich bread, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or more or less to taste)
  • 2 slices tomato
  • Kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 4 ounces sliced deli turkey
  • 3 slices bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 2 leaves lettuce (Romaine or Iceberg are my favorites)
  • Toothpicks, for securing

Instructions

  • Spread mayonnaise on each piece of toast. Season the tomato slices with a little bit of salt and pepper.

  • On one piece of toast, arrange one lettuce leaf, both tomato slices, and all the turkey on top of the mayo.

  • Place a piece of toast on top, with the mayo-side up.

  • Add the bacon and the remaining lettuce on top. Finish with the third slice of toast, mayo-side down.

  • Secure with four toothpicks. Slice into four triangles and serve immediately.

Notes

You'll need cooked, crispy bacon for this sandwich. You can take a shortcut and purchase fully-cooked bacon at the grocery store. Alternatively, here's my favorite way to cook a lot of bacon at once: line an extra-large rimmed sheet pan with aluminum foil (for easy clean-up). Arrange bacon slices in a single layer on the foil. Bake in a 400°F oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon reaches your desired level of crispiness. Thick-cut bacon will take a little bit longer.
This recipe yields one triple-decker sandwich. Multiply the ingredients to assemble additional sandwiches.
