Buttermilk Salad Dressing

A light and simple buttermilk salad dressing is the perfect addition to a salad of mixed greens and sliced cucumber.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill or 2 teaspoons fresh dill
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • Sliced cucumber and mixed lettuce greens for serving

Instructions

  • In a large jar, shake together 1/3 cup buttermilk, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 teaspoons fresh minced dill (or 1/2 teaspoon dried dill), 1/2 teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper until completely combined {you can also whisk the ingredients in a bowl}.
  • Store dressing in the refrigerator for up to 1 week until ready to use.
  • For serving, I like to toss the buttermilk dressing with mixed greens and sliced cucumber.
