If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably saw a sneak peak photo of these graham crackers last week. After multiple snow days and school cancellations in the same week, we were getting desperate for indoor entertainment! One of my favorite boredom-busting activities is cooking with my boys. They have fun stirring, mixing, and taste-testing, and we always enjoy our finished product!
The White Chocolate Rice Krispie Pops that I made for the boys’ Christmas party at their preschool last year were SUCH a hit (both on the blog and in real life), that I knew I needed to come up with a similar fun and easy idea for the next party: Valentine’s Day.
Just like the Rice Krispie Pops, these graham crackers come together really easily, making them a great option for busy moms like me. When we’re throwing together a recipe the night before the party, we definitely don’t want it to be time consuming or complicated!
These graham crackers are also like the Rice Krispie Pops because they can be easily tailored to suit any occasion. They make a great after school snack on any day of the week, or they can be cut into other holiday shapes simply by using a different cookie cutter. Make them into Christmas trees for the next Christmas party, or cut out pumpkins at Halloween. They will be a crowd-pleaser no matter when you serve them!
Since I know that my boys will be bombarded with chocolate and candy from friends and grandparents on Valentine’s Day, I figure that I don’t need to contribute to the sugar overload. I know that the teachers and other parents at the preschool will also appreciate that these Whole Wheat Graham Crackers have a bit more substance and nutritional value than that bright pink Laffy Taffy that the kids are sure to consume in large volumes!
Treat your sweethearts to a delicious, homemade snack that tastes like a cookie, but is made with wholesome ingredients that you can feel good about! That is a true way to show some LOVE.

I’ve always wanted to try homemade graham crackers and have never done it! So glad that these look easy and delicious, and that you used whole wheat flour!!! These look great, Blair!
Thanks, Sarah!
Looks good, quick and simple, which I need in my life right now! 🙂
Can you list a few oils that you think would work in place of canola? Would coconut oil do?
Thanks!
Hi, Christina! I haven’t experimented with coconut oil too much, but I’m sure it would work too…you would just have to melt it so that it’s in liquid form when you’re making the dough. Any other mild oil would work as well, such as corn oil or vegetable oil.
How long will these keep? Thanks!
Hi, Bryn! Definitely a week or so on your counter, but you could easily freeze them, too, and they would last that way for at least a couple of months if you wrap them tightly.
Those are adorable, Blair! I love graham crackers, and I have to try these! 🙂
Thanks so much, Lisa!
These look delicious! We are snowed in this weekend and looking for things to do, so we will have to make some!

I am so pleased to have come across your recipe for Graham crackers! Being an Australian I haven’t seen them for sale here but a friend from Hawaii sent me a packet and the whole family loved them! I haven’t been able to find an alternative that comes even close. This recipe looks so simple, I am pinning for reference and can’t wait to test it out! Thanks for sharing this at #loulougirls
What a great snack recipe! My kids would love these! We’d be honored to have you share this at our weekly link party. Hope to see you there! https://www.thelifeofjenniferdawn.com/2015/01/a-little-bird-told-me-link-party-125.html

I bet I could make these with GF flour! I must try! glad i found your old posts. <3
Totally!! You need to give it a try!! 🙂
Have you tried these with a non-dairy milk? I’m thinking about making these for my daughter’s class Christmas party but she has a classmate with a milk allergy. I’m wondering if almond milk would be fine to substitute. Thanks!
Hi, Niki! I haven’t tried it with the nondairy milk, but I assume it will work well!
