This quick and easy 20 Minute Fat Burning Cardio Circuit Workout is a fun way to burn some calories while entertaining the kids this summer. You don't need any equipment, so you can get outside and enjoy the sunshine! Plus, don't miss one of our refreshing sweet snacks to help you cool off and unwind when the workout is over!
Hi, friends! I've mentioned these delicious frozen snacks on the blog before (because we're totally obsessed with them this summer), but I'm back today with even more details!
We have kept our freezer stocked with plenty of Nestle Outshine Frozen Bars all season long, which we pick up in the freezer section of Walmart when we do our grocery shopping each week.
I'll tell you more about the delicious snacks later, but first let's burn some calories...shall we?
With three very active boys at home all summer, I've been working hard to keep them busy and entertained while also checking off the items on my own to-do list. That's why I love to come up with short and effective workouts that I can do with my kids. I kill two birds with one stone: I squeeze some exercise into my day, and the boys release some of that never-ending energy!
Here's the deal: we'll do 4 four-minute circuits (2 exercises in each circuit), with a 1 minute rest in between each circuit. Complete each circuit 4 times before moving on to the next.
Click HERE for a printable PDF copy of the entire workout...making it easy to bring the exercises along with you!
Circuit 1: Complete each exercise for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds. Repeat circuit 4 times.
- Invisible Jump Rope
- Alternating Jabs
REST FOR 1 MINUTE
Circuit 2: Complete each exercise for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds. Repeat circuit 4 times.
- “Surfer” 180 Jump Squats
- Push-ups
REST FOR 1 MINUTE
Circuit 3: Complete each exercise for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds. Repeat circuit 4 times.
- Butt Kickers
- Alternating Lunges

Circuit 4: Complete each exercise for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds. Repeat circuit 4 times.
- Jumping Jacks
- Alternating “Zombie” Kicks
STRETCH/COOL DOWN FOR 1 MINUTE

And here are some shots of the boys demonstrating the exercises as well. Of course, the jabs and the zombie kicks were their favorites!
When we were finished jumping around outside, it was time to cool off with one of our favorite sweet snacks. I love that Outshine Bars use simple, honest ingredients that taste as good as they make you feel -- and they refresh from the inside out!
The New Outshine Simply Yogurt Bars are creamy, satisfying, and they taste like ice cream (according to my kids), but I like them as a post-workout snack because the 5 grams of protein are great for muscle recovery (and they're less than 100 calories each)!
In addition to the Blueberry Bars that you see here, Outshine also has Pineapple, Strawberry, and Peach Simply Yogurt Bars to choose from. We have tried them all (multiple times) and they're all delicious.
The Outshine line of frozen snacks also includes Fruit Bars and Fruit & Veggie Bars,
which Casey adores (tangerine is his flavor of choice, while I think the lime is heavenly)!
And the Coconut Waters Bars, which are made with coconut water and real fruit, taste like a bite of the tropics! As soon as he was finished with his Tangerine Fruit Bar, Casey grabbed a Pineapple Coconut Waters bar as well.
On this particular day, the heat index in Virginia was 100 degrees and we couldn't get enough of the frozen treats. Gibbs had TWO of the Blueberry Simply Yogurt Bars,
I had a Pineapple Simply Yogurt Bar (SO GOOD),
and Spencer copied Gibbs (as usual).
And there's one more reason to love this brand: Outshine is committed to Feeding America in providing fresh fruits and vegetables to communities in need. From June 1 through July 31, every specially marked box of Outshine Simply Yogurt bars purchased helps get 1 lb.* of fresh fruits and veggies donated to a local food bank (*50K lb. cap). You can find more information about Feeding America HERE.
And finally, before you run off to start your Fat Burning Cardio Circuit, I wanted to let you know about the "Outsmart Your Snack" quiz. Outshine is all about feel-good snacking, and that's why they're helping provide 1 pound of produce to local food banks and sharing cool savings when you take the snacking quiz. To help contribute and to get your $1 coupon off of Outshine products, take the snacking quiz HERE.
Have a great summer, and happy snacking! Be sure to check out more delicious ways to enjoy Outshine bars here or follow Outshine on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. I'd love to hear your favorite!

I totally agree that it's not really necessary to spend hours doing cardio. And your quick and easy workout is very good because we can burn fat and enjoy our life at the same time. Anyways, the idea of mom and childer working out together is brilliant and also very cute. I love that!
I also have a blog with some health and fitness tips, hope it can help readers a lot like theseasonedmom.com: https://aestheticguys.com
