Hi, friends! Did you have a nice weekend? We have some catching up to do, so let’s get to it!! Time for my weekly cell phone photo dump!

On Monday, my older two boys spent the day (and night) in Northern Virginia with their grandparents, so Spencer and I had a very quiet 24 hours. The weather was beautiful, so we did wild and crazy things like taking a morning walk, shopping at Target, and eating Goldfish on the front porch for dinner!

Tuesday we headed up to Culpeper to meet my mom and to pick up Gibbs and Casey. We started at Mountain Run Lake where we fed the ducks and played on the playground, and then we enjoyed a quick lunch at Subway.

On Wednesday I had to go to my office in Charlottesville for a breakfast meeting. After almost 8 years with the company, I am officially done with my part-time job. We had a little going away celebration and the boys were dragged along. Fortunately, muffins and cupcakes kept them happy for a short time! And now I’m a full-time stay at home mom and blogger…big life changes!

We hosted the boys’ friend Liam for a playdate on Thursday,

and on a rainy Friday morning I brought the three kids along for a grocery shopping trip. I always spend way more money when the kids are with me. We came home with unnecessary items like the M&M yogurt that Gibbs put in the cart, as well as the spaghetti squash and frozen mixed vegetables that Casey insisted on buying.

We entertained ourselves indoors for the rest of the morning by making some blender muffins (recipe coming soon!),

and riding bikes and jumping on trampolines inside the old general store building.

As soon as the rain cleared we headed back outside to enjoy the cooler temps (and to get wet and muddy)…

We had Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Chicken with rice and broccoli for supper (recipe coming soon!) and then put everyone to bed!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day, so we spent a lot of it outside.

Spence started his day with his current favorite yogurt: this vanilla-flavored Yulu, which is a creamy Australian yogurt. Keith snapped this photo because he was impressed with the kid’s yogurt goatee:

After breakfast, Spencer and I headed over for a quick stop at Yoder’s to pick up eggs, milk, turkey, and cheese. I swear, this child could stand and “talk” to the animals ALL DAY.

Then we picked up Keith and the older two boys so that we could get to Charlottesville for swimming at the pool. While Gibbs and Casey swam, Spencer and I made a quick run to Target to pick up some school supplies while we were in town.

We ate a picnic lunch at the playground by the pool, and then treated everyone to some ice cream afterwards.

Shortly after we made it home, our friends Mollie, John Paul, and their son Henry arrived for a playdate and cookout. Such a fun way to spend a Saturday evening!

And thank you to John Paul and Keith for humoring me and allowing a photo!

 Gibbs’s dinner order: Hah!

Today has been another cool and sunny summer day, and we were out and about early. We had to pick up Keith’s car from the shop, so we stopped for breakfast donuts on the way!

I put up the Slow Cooker Apple Butter that I made in my Crock Pot while I slept last night (LOVE IT), and I’m slowly but surely making a dent in all of the apples that we picked last week. I don’t bother with the full canning process, and instead just store the apple butter in our chest freezer. It works great, and it couldn’t be easier. Highly recommend!!

Before lunch, we went over to the pond across the road to go fishing. It was pretty scenery, but we didn’t catch a darn thing.

Casey picked me a lovely bouquet of weeds (I mean “flowers”), which he assured me smell like vanilla cake. Hmmm…

They are currently sitting in a jar of water on my kitchen counter. 🙂

Now I’m off to make some beds and put some Pita Bread Pizzas in the oven for lunch. Have a great week everyone!
