Hi, friends! As you know, I love to share new products, recipes, and ideas that I come across when I think that you will also love them. If you’re a mom or a mom-to-be, then today’s post is for you. I’m here to share some awesome Healthy Living Resources for Moms through a new program called Nutrimom!

Healthy Living Tools for Moms

I was recently given the opportunity to participate in a brand new program designed for moms and moms-to-be whose mission it is to help moms make informed choices about nutrition and wellness during the first 1,000 days of baby’s life.

If you have read my blog for any amount of time, then you know that this is a subject I am passionate about!

Research in the emerging science of Early Life Nutrition suggests that the majority of your baby’s lifelong wellness can be positively shaped by the nutrition and environment that you provide during those first 1,000 days of development from your first day of pregnancy to age 2. The program supports this mission by offering moms and moms-to-be trustworthy nutrition and wellness support via a desktop or mobile experience. And for busy moms like me, the convenience of the app has proven to be KEY!

Over the course of the next few months I will be sharing my entire Nutrimom experience with you so that you can get a sense for what the program offers and how it might fit into your life. While it’s an amazing option for pregnant women and brand new moms, it is also a great resource for someone like me who has kids that are a bit older (my youngest is almost 2 and my oldest is almost 6). After all, I’m beyond the stage of nursing my babies and pregnancy or postpartum hormones, so my body has entirely different needs and demands…and I feel like I’m finally at a point where I might have the chance to focus on these needs!

My initial experience with the Nutrimom app has been incredible! As I noted above, I LOVE the convenience of it all! Whether I’m looking for a new healthy recipe idea or some fitness motivation, it’s all at my finger tips (or a phone call away)!

Once you sign up with Nutrimom, you will be assigned a personal Nutrimom Coach, who is basically there to support you with any of your specific needs. You are given the opportunity to tell your coach exactly what you need, so you are sure to receive helpful information in the areas where YOU want it.

My Coach is Andie.

She’s AWESOME, by the way! From our first phone call, Andie was easy to talk to and I felt like I was just chatting with a friend. Based on the quick survey I filled out, Andie knew that I was interested in receiving new healthy, family-friendly recipes and nutrition advice, as well as Exercise information for a busy mom. Since Andie is not only a fitness industry expert but also a Registered Dietician and a MOM to kids about the same ages as mine, she has been the perfect resource to match my needs.

Andie started by sending me some articles on Nutrition (and recipes) from Nutrimom’s vast library.

During our first 30-minute phone call, she also discussed workouts with me. I told her that I want to stay healthy and fit, but that I don’t feel like I can spend much more than 20 minutes a day on any given exercise routine. As a result, she walked me through a complete workout schedule that would be appropriate for my time constraints, fitness level, and lifestyle. It has given me the confidence to know that I’m doing something positive for my body, but to also know that it’s “approved” by an expert and in line with my goals.

Perhaps best of all, though, is the support that I receive from Andie! She checks in with regular messages on the app (to find out how I’m doing, to see how an exercise routine may have worked, etc.) and she is always there to remind me that it’s okay if I’m too tired, too sore, too busy, or just generally too overwhelmed to get to a workout that day. As a busy (and tired) mom herself, she knows that we’re not always perfect and she’s 100% okay with that!

Oh, and in case you’re wondering…she highly encourages WALKING as exercise! And that’s a good thing, because Spence is my first baby who actually kind of enjoys the stroller, making this a form of exercise that’s do-able for me right now!

In addition to the Personal Coaching, Nutrimom also offers a digital library of easily searchable, science-based nutrition and wellness information tailored to your needs—from right-for-you recipes to educational content—so you can nurture the healthiest baby (and MOM) possible. As I mentioned, you get the one-on-one sessions with your personal Nutrimom Coach, as well as ongoing messaging with the team of Early Life Nutrition experts, webinars, group coaching sessions on topics from lactation to physical activity, and help with setting and tracking goals.

And, for those who are interested, the Nutrimom program offers a specialized line of nutrition products to help ensure you’re getting the nutrients that you need at every stage of your baby’s development. The products and dietary Supplements, combined with a healthy diet, are designed to help support moms and moms-to-be throughout the first 1,000 days of baby’s development from your first day of pregnancy to age 2.

You owe it to yourself and to your children to take care of YOU, to take care of your babies, and to nurture a healthy and happy lifestyle!
