I’m sharing #lobsterworthy moments in my life as part of a Red Lobster sponsored series for SocialStars™. All thoughts and opinions are my own, as always!

Hi, friends! For those of you who read my Weekend Recap on Sunday, you probably noticed that Keith and I spent Saturday evening on a Date Night…and I’m back today with the fun details!

Keith and Blair

Keith was gone all of last week for a business trip in Ireland (!!), so by the time he returned on Friday night, I was more than ready for a break from the kids and some uninterrupted adult conversation with my spouse! In the 11 years that we have been married, Keith has never been gone for more than a few days…and when you add 3 little boys into the mix, it seemed like a very long week!

So Hannah came over to babysit on Saturday evening and we headed down to Charlottesville for an early supper at Red Lobster. It was perfect!!

Red Lobster

Since it’s currently “Lobsterfest” at the restaurant, we took advantage of some of the delicious options.

Menu

We started with drinks (Keith wanted me to be SURE to report that the beer selection at Red Lobster is GOOD)!

And our dinners both came with salads to start. Caesar salad for Keith, and the House Salad for me!

Always Cheddar Bay Biscuits…

After studying the menu, I ultimately decided on one of the specials that evening: a steamed 1 1/4-lb. fresh Maine lobster with Green Beans and Roasted Tomatoes, as well as broccoli. Do you love my bib?!

Blair with Lobster

The lobster was AMAZING, and the green beans (which are a new side item) were incredible. I need to figure out how to recreate them at home with the roasted tomatoes and the garlic butter sauce. I have no doubt that all of my boys would eat their veggies served this way! Mmmmm…

Keith got the best of all worlds: Surf n’ Turf! He had a N.Y. Strip Steak (which he raved about all weekend long), as well as a lobster tail — plus mashed potatoes and broccoli on the side.

Keith Dinner

I know that the portions look generous, but we literally cleaned our plates…this meal was SO good!

And then it was time to hop, skip, and jump back home so that we could play “Easter Bunny” in preparation for the next morning. Trust me: putting together Easter baskets and hiding eggs is WAY more fun when you’ve had an evening out on the town first! I think that this needs to become a new tradition…

    1. Thanks, Karenann! In our crazy house it’s necessary to escape without kids on a regular basis! 🙂

  2. confession, i had my birthday as a kid at red lobster. I was the one kid that loved lobster and butter at age 10. haha. LOVE the date night

    1. That’s funny, lindsay! My boys love seafood too, although they go for the shrimp over the lobster (usually). There must be a lot of little ones like you out there because the restaurant is always full of families with little ones! Good taste, my friend!

  3. My ladies group of “widows eating out” Is headed to Albuquerque’s Red Lobster this Thursday night. I knew Lobsterfest was on so it was my choice. I love the lobster trio. And we all love the Cheddar Biscuits.
