I’m sharing #lobsterworthy moments in my life as part of a Red Lobster sponsored series for SocialStars™. Thanks for supporting the companies that make The Seasoned Mom possible!

Hey, friends! I wanted to pop in today and share a few scenes from our Celebratory Sunday Supper last weekend!

Sunday evenings are always special times in our house because it’s the one night of the week when we’re all reliably home without plans! That means that we can sit down for a great dinner and enjoy each other’s company — without too many distractions. It’s such a relaxing way to get the week started on the right foot!

Typically we eat dinner at home on Sundays, but last weekend we wanted to do something a little bit more special to celebrate this guy!

Casey

Casey was the Star Student at his preschool last week, so we wanted to acknowledge the awesome year he has had! Anything that makes my “middle” son feel extra-special is a good idea, and dinner out at a great restaurant seemed like the perfect celebration for this guy…who LOVES to eat!

So on Sunday afternoon, the boys had early baths and we wrangled this crew to head into Charlottesville. They NEVER all look at the camera at the same time, right?!

Our destination was Red Lobster! We haven’t been there in ages, but when my friends at Red Lobster suggested that we collaborate this spring on a few projects, I knew that it would be a perfect match. The family-friendly restaurant is ideal for our crew because they are very welcoming to kids (even squirmy ones like mine!) and it serves delicious seafood…all important factors when choosing a dining spot! Plus, lobster just makes any celebration (big or small) feel special!

The lobster tank was an instant hit when we walked in the door, and we made a couple of more trips back to see the crustaceans as we waited for our food. Can’t beat that live entertainment!

While Keith and I looked over the menu,

the boys entertained themselves with some artwork (like I said: this place is totally kid-friendly, which made the experience much less stressful for me and Keith)!

After cocktails,

and TWO baskets of Cheddar Bay Biscuits (oh so good!),

it was time for supper! Keith and I both had Caesar salads (he added grilled shrimp to his),

while I had Shrimp Cocktail on the side! Perfect!

I also got to taste Keith’s Roasted Maine Lobster Bake, which was amazing. So buttery and garlicky and tender!

The boys enjoyed their selections from the Kids’ Menu, and the Man of the Hour especially loved his Garlic-Grilled Shrimp.

And you can never go wrong with a chocolate milk the size of your head! Spence was in heaven!

The meal was tasty, the service was great, and we enjoyed a family evening of celebrating Casey’s “lobster-worthy moment”.

Best of all for this mom? No dishes to wash when we were done! Hah — it’s the simple things!
